Spectrum 800 Raku Series
The Raku glazes are all lead-free and require a raku firing process to acheive the result shown in the samples. Pieces are fired to 1750° (Cone 07) in an electric or gas kiln. While still red hot, the glazed piece should be transferred into a reduction bin; commonly a small sealable metal container containing organic material (such as newspaper, grasses, pine needles, leaves, sawdust, etc.) The reduction bin should be closed and the piece allowed to cool for at least twenty minutes before removing and cleaning the piece.
