Spectrum 800 Raku Series
Spectrum Raku glazes are an excellent way to experiment with the Raku process. Their reliable lineup of stunning glazes makes it easy to get started! Spectrum Raku glazes are all lead-free and require a raku firing process to achieve the result shown in the samples. Pieces are fired to 1750° (Cone 07) in an electric or gas kiln. While still red hot, the glazed piece should be transferred into a reduction bin containing organic materials. Options for organics include newspaper, leaves, pine needles, sawdust and more. The reduction bin should be closed and the piece allowed to cool for at least twenty minutes before removing and cleaning the piece.
