Colorants

Clay Art Center stocks all of the ceramic Colorants that any potter or studio would need for glaze and clay formulation. Colorants in ceramics encompass a wide array of oxides and carbonates of various metals. The most common colorants used in ceramics include red iron oxide, cobalt oxide and cobalt carbonate, copper carbonate and chrome oxide and more! Remember that a little goes a long way with many of these materials and some may be quite hazardous so please exercise safe handling and always wear proper PPE.
