Kaolin

Kaolins are available in a variety of types with varying degrees of whiteness, translucency and plasticity. Kaolin may also be commonly called “China Clay”. Primarily used in clay and casting slip formulations where it contributes to plasticity and green strength in unfired wares. During firings it reacts with other ingredients to to form the crystal and glass phases.
