Floating Blue is a blue and green glossy mottled glaze, which breaks from light green to light blue. Heavier application recommended.
Available mixed in our standard brushing formulation and also available dry for dipping.
Fires from Cone 4-6. Lead free.

This glaze breaks mostly green on white clay with very little blue. A better name for this glaze would be “Floating Green.”

We recommend applying Floating Blue quite thick for the best results. For most of our Craftsman Series we recommend 3 thick/heavy coats of glaze if brushing.

This glaze will be an ongoing purchase for my studio. It has the perfect mixture of deep to light blues with a tint of green. It looks amazing on light to dark clay bodies. I’ve used it on white clay, sand, brown, and black clay and it has never failed me with how beautiful it turns out.
