A high  amount of alumina than regular coredierite shelves making High Alumina shelves more refractory or resistant to high temperatures. Press molded instead of cast which increase the compression and makes them stronger than standard mullite/cordierite shelves. Smooth surface makes them suitable for ceramics and also glass firings.

These shelves are rated to cone 11 – suitable for use in electric and gas kilns. Always use Kiln Wash on your shelves to protect against glaze drips.

Shelves larger than 21″ may only be shipped via LTL Freight.
