Carboxy/Methyl Cellulose (C.M.C.) Powder. An organic cellulose gum which functions as a thickener, binder, and suspending agent in glazes. Can also be used as a binding agent for glass powder and enamels. Usually added to glazes in amounts of less than 0.5%. Add to warm water to dissolve and age before adding to a liquid glaze.
