SCOTT CREEK POTTERY – SC019 – SLAB DIE KIT FOR 5″ MODELS (3PC)

A new way to produce slabs! The Slab Die Kit for 5″ Models is designed to be paired with the Expansion Box (SC017 for 5″ extruders). Made from stainless steel, our slab die kit for 5″ models makes for easy production of slabs using your extruder! This die kit will produce a hollow round extrusion 7.5″ wide. Wall thickness is either 1/2″ or 3/8″ and may be adjusted by simply changing the inner die used.

To produce a approximately 23″ wide slab simply extrude your desired length and cut from the extruder and then slice down one side of the extrusion and lay flat to create your slab. We feel that extruded slabs are superior to rolled slabs, the clay particles align differently in each process.
