CAC RAKU – NAKED RAKU TOP COAT

A low temperature clear glaze used over the top of RG125 Naked Raku Slip Coat for the two step Naked Raku process. The Top Coat is what crackles and allows smoke penetration to darken the wares along the cracks for the Naked Raku effect. This coat will peel off the ware during cooling revealing the smoke patterns on the pot. Fire to 1500 degree F and add to reduction chamber. When you remove the pot from the reduction chamber you can spray with water to aid the glaze cracking off.
